Seguridad del Paciente - Patient Safety

Since 2009 the Global Hand Hygiene Day in Health Care is held on May 5^th. This initiative is part of the SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands program within the framework of the World’s Health Organization Patient Safety Program.

The Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality promotes and supports the celebration of this day through the Hand Hygiene Program of the National Health System (NHS), which is part of Strategy nº 8 of the NHS Quality Plan intended to improve patient safety in the health care facilities of the Spanish NHS.
